Account manager Industry and Testing segment

A results-driven sales representative to actively seek out and engage customers in manufacturing industries and analytical testing laboratories and prospects and provide complete and appropriate portfolios for these customers in order to develop top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

Manage sales targets

Manage and grow customers within a defined territory

First point of contact to customers in the territory

Develop customer segments and selling strategies in industry segments utilizing for Merck Life Science.

Develop and maintain the relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL)

Develop internal and external partnerships to drive sales

Monitors competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.

Identify and secure new business by making corporate level sales calls, preparing presentations, and on national tradeshows, and/or conferences

Provides daily activity and historical records in SFDC

Supply team members with relevant market intelligence to help them win business

Collaborate with other teams/ members to solve issues and inquiries

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology

Sales experience with focus on the (bio)chemical or material manufacturing sector industry

QA & QC or lab experience is a plus

Ability and willingness to travel

Business level proficiency in English; Native level Japanese
