Job Description

  • After a very successful 2025, looking for a new ASD Sales Director to join their team in Tokyo.
  • Reports directly to the Vice President of Global Sales. Lead the company's sales strategy in Japan, aligning with global targets and driving growth
  • Coach and motivate the sales team and senior managers, while representing the company at the executive level with customers
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring world-class service and support
  • Monitor market trends and disruptive forces to guide strategy and talent development
  • Manage budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics for J-OEMs
  • Provide training, mentorship, and negotiation support, ensuring alignment with headquarters
  • Act as the key executive presence in Japan, reporting to the VP of Global Sales and supporting cross-functional initiatives

Key Candidate Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Extensive experience in automotive OEM sales, ideally within software-defined or Tier 1 delivery environments
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate in dynamic business models
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Deep knowledge of automotive industry trends and market dynamics
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools
  • Fluent in English and Japanese.
