As a support application Specialist , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will be responsible for delivering business-to-business application support to PwC clients. Additionally, you will be required to collaborate with internal teams such as Database Administrators, Infrastructure, Clouds Ops to successfully drive incidents to closure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Provide first and second line support for application-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems;

  • Combine excellent technical and functional problem-solving skills to deliver top notch client-focused support;

  • Provide support to business users and make sure that the SLAs are met;

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while collaborating with end-users and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions;

  • Collaborate with end-users to understand and address application-related challenges;

  • Assist in the deployment testing and configuration of software applications;

  • Conduct system analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization;

  • Document support standard procedures, troubleshooting guides and best practices to facilitate efficient issue resolution and to grow the support knowledge base;

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in updates and enhancements, minimizing downtime and maximizing system reliability;

  • Conduct user training sessions to enhance end-user understanding of applications, reducing support requests;

  • Foster a collaborative environment, sharing insights and knowledge to contribute to the continuous improvement of the IT support framework;

  • Accurately plan, record time and effort spent on activities via trackers;

  • Identify and make suggestions for improvements when problems and/or opportunities arise;

  • Escalate to Senior or Manager if needed, on risks/issues identified which impact project delivery schedules;

  • Communicate orally and in writing with customers and to provide good service;

  • Take ownership and follow up on assigned incidents/tickets;

  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems;

  • Be logical, analytical and technical when providing solutions on the support issues;

  • Ensure responsive and timely incident resolution;

  • Analyze, prioritize and follow-up on incidents/change requests;

  • Expand your skills utilizing the latest technologies and training;

  • Handle, manipulate and analyze data and information responsibly;

  • Open to learning new skills and tools;

  • Seek and respond to development feedback;

  • Communicate confidently in a clear, concise and articulate manner - verbally and in the materials produced;

  • Ensure the completeness of all documentation and log;

What do you need to have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/Software Engineering/Information Systems/Information and Communication Technology;

  • At least 1-2 years experience in software development, testing or support environment;

  • Applicants with no prior experience will also be considered.
