Automotive MCU Business Development Marketing Director/Sr. Manager

We are seeking a self-driven, motivated, and enthusiastic senior professional to join our High-Performance Computing (HPC) Microcontroller Business Development team. As the MCU Business Development Marketing Director / Sr. Manager for Japan, you will lead the regional HPC MCU marketing team and drive business development efforts in the automotive segment. Your role will be crucial in positioning the company as a leader in key automotive applications by using your extensive product knowledge, application expertise, and business development skills. You will build strong customer relationships and work closely with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and ecosystem partners, ensuring smooth internal collaboration.

What you'll do

In this role, a successful candidate will:
• Develop and execute Japan regional marketing and business development plans to support automotive MCU business growth.
• Work closely with Sales, FAEs, Product Marketing, and Engineering teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with key automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and industry partners in Japan.
• Promote Renesas automotive MCU products and solutions to customers and support design-win activities.
• Support customer engagements from early evaluation through design-in and production launch.
• Monitor automotive market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities, and provide feedback to internal teams.
• Develop regional product promotion materials, training content, and customer presentations.
• Support product launches, customer workshops, seminars, and industry events.
• Lead and develop the Japan regional marketing team to achieve business objectives and strengthen customer engagement.
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.

What we require

• Master or bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 15+ years working experience in automotive semiconductor, OEMs and Tier 1s, as product marketing, business development, sales, FAE, or product management roles.
• Good understanding of automotive OEM and Tier-1 customer requirements and development processes.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willing to travel up to 30%.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams to achieve targets and increase business penetration at Automotive customers
