TEAM
The Japan HR Team plays a crucial role by performing industrial physician responsibilities in strict adherence to Japanese regulations. They collaborate seamlessly with various stakeholders, including HRBPs, Benefits & Wellness team, and Health Committee, to consistently enhance employee health management and foster a conducive working environment.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking an experienced HR Benefits Specialist to join our dynamic team. You will be an integral part of our Human Resources team, focusing on the analysis, administration, and optimization of employee benefits programs. As a Benefit Specialist reporting to the Benefits and Wellness Manager, You will work with the Manager to ensure the effective delivery of benefits offerings that support our organization's objectives while meeting the diverse needs of our workforce. Your focus will be on maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, evaluating benefit trends, and enhancing the overall employee experience. Also this role offers an opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of our benefits programs and enhance the overall employee experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Benefits Administration Support:
・Support the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs, including health care management, wellness initiatives, and other offerings.・Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.・Collaborate with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) team to ensure data integrity and seamless integration of benefits data.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
・Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to benefits utilization, costs, and trends.・Prepare regular reports and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of benefits programs and support decision-making by senior management.・Assist in conducting benchmarking studies to assess the competitiveness of our benefits offerings relative to industry standards.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
・Support the Benefits Senior Manager in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations governing employee benefits, including Japanese Health and Safety Law.・Assist with annual compliance activities, including filing to the Labor Standards Inspection Office and the health insurance association.
Vendor Management and Coordination:
・Collaborate with benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants to address employee inquiries, resolve issues, and optimize service delivery.・Assist in managing vendor relationships, including contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and service level agreement (SLA) monitoring.
Benefits Communication and Education:
・Support to develop employee communication materials related to benefits enrollment, policy changes, and wellness initiatives.・Assist in organizing and facilitating educational sessions, webinars, and workshops to promote employee understanding and engagement with benefits programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience
  • 1 + years of HR operations
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data manipulation and reporting.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits principles, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and interact with employees at all levels.
