ABOUT THE ROLE
Job Overview:
For this role, our client is looking for a resourceful Business Development Specialist to expand their business and improve the branding initiatives. Your duties will include establishing networks with solar industry specialists, maintaining valued account relationships, and negotiating deals.
To be successful in this role, one should demonstrate extensive experience in business development strategies and marketing in the designated area. Accomplished BD Specialists are experts in identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Identify and penetrate the Japanese market, leveraging the unique value proposition of various solar systems according to clients’ needs.
• Establish and maintain robust relationships with foreign distributors, wholesalers, and other potential clients assigned by the Regional BD Manager.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to international markets.
• Define the solar PV growth strategy (development, targets, and priority actions).
• Work closely with other departments to ensure a streamlined process from production to delivery in new markets.
• Regularly update the leadership team on market trends, opportunities, and sales progress through comprehensive reports.

Requirements

Profile Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or any related field; a Master’s degree will be a distinct advantage.
• 5+ years of experience in sales or business development, with a strong focus on international markets; experience in the Japanese solar industry is preferred.
• Business Proficiency in Japanese; knowledge of Chinese Mandarin is a plus.
• Demonstrated success in establishing business in foreign markets, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
• Ability to travel internationally to nurture business relationships and explore new opportunities.
