Sr. Client Service Representative_Global Fund Services Department

ROLE OVERVIEW

Global Fund Services Department, based in Tokyo and Boston, supports offshore funds distributed to Japanese investors. Its primary role is to deliver high-quality client service by liaising Japan-based fund sponsors and other stakeholders with global product teams.

Senior Client Service Representative acts as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and oversees service delivery across Fund Accounting, Fund Administration, Transfer Agency and Custody. The individual plays a key role in ensuring seamless execution, resolving client issues, and driving service excellence for cross-border fund structures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Service

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring timely and high-quality responses to inquiries
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with the stakeholders within a fund structure, including asset managers, institutional investors, distributors, and trust banks
  • Proactively identify client needs and coordinate solutions across internal teams
  • Triage client inquiries and manage escalation to relevant teams as needed
  • Ensure issues are resolved efficiently while maintaining transparency with stakeholders

Project & Change Management

  • Support new fund launches, product implementations, and fund conversions in collaboration with Relationship Management and global teams
  • Participate in internal initiatives to enhance processes and client experience

Process Improvement & Technology

  • Leverage internal systems and tools to improve service efficiency and accuracy
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance productivity
  • Support clients in adopting BBH technology and digital solutions

Governance & Controls

  • Ensure adherence to internal procedures, controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, risk awareness, and operational discipline

REQUIREMENTS

  • BA/BS degree
  • 1 to 3 years of financial industry experience, preferably in a client servicing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Japanese and English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problem-solving capability while managing competing priorities
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of fund services, including Fund Accounting, Custody, or Transfer Agency preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
