Summary

The primary purpose of the Demand Planner is to work with Sales and Marketing to develop and validate the 36-month demand plan for the allocated categories, they are to validate the forecast and work to reduce forecast Bias, work with supply planning and manufacturing to ensure the balance between supply and demand are managed and they understand constraints ensuring carton fill is maximized.

Key Responsibilities

• Development of the rolling 36 month demand plan for allocated categories
• Work with key stakeholders in development of the annual Budget/LRP
• Manage Bias, reviewing with sales and aiming to reduce the number of products displaying Bias
• With the Demand Manager work to develop the annual sanction requirements along with Sales & Marketing
• To support the operating platform of the organization (Sales and Operations Planning), committing to behaving in a manner consistent with Class A principles
• Communicate day to day issues regarding supply to sales and marketing
• Ensure internal customers understand the drivers of change in the demand plan
• Work with Sales and Marketing to develop realistic assumption based demand forecast for NPI
• Ensure all information and decks are prepared to support S&OP meetings
• Attend and contribute to the weekly demand and supply review process, allowing for the coordination of actions to assist in managing the balance between supply and demand
• Manage the Allocation process for controlling demand for constrained supply, working to minimize the number of products constrained
• Manage the forecast change (PCF) process for adjustments to short term demand
• Identify and manage ‘abnormal’ demand and determine its impact on future immediate/short term demand
• Manage the state splits for new lines as well as reviewing established products when required

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
