About the Job
We're looking for an analytical, passionate Senior Distribution Manager to drive online sales and digital distribution strategy in Japan. As part of the HQ team, you'll build brand awareness among Japanese travelers and lead the digital distribution channel mix for the market.
In this role, you will:
- Build and lead Japan's yearly go-to-market and digital distribution strategy
- Lead negotiation and joint-business planning with strategic OTA and direct-channel partners
- Identify and unlock new digital distribution partners with strong demand and relevant corridors
- Represent TLA at Japan B2B delegations and industry summits
- Support hotel pre-opening digital sales and marketing in Japan
- Drive weekly performance and market-insight reporting to improve hotel penetration (MPI)
- Manage and improve digital content, ranking, reviews, and price positioning across Japanese B2C platforms
- Design and execute promotions that drive incremental revenue while safeguarding brand price parity
Requirements
Profile Requirements
You're an analytical, ambitious distribution professional with a strong track record in Japan's B2C online-travel market.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in hospitality, OTA/travel-tech, or hotel digital and commercial roles in Japan
- Excellent English and Japanese communication skills
- Can be based anywhere in Japan. Fully Remote. Hybrid work model possible in Osaka and Tokyo.
- Reports into the HQ Revenue and Distribution Director, collaborating with regional teams across APAC
