We are looking for a dynamic self-starter professional to join our team as a HR Business Partner (HRBP) / HR Partner (HRP), based in Meguro, Tokyo. The primary role will be to partner with business leaders to develop and execute plans for building leadership and management capability that align to the business priorities. The HRBP / HRP in this role will demonstrate analytical capabilities and be able to influence business priorities with data-driven recommendations. The role covers supporting leaders based in Japan, as well as other countries such as US, EU, India, and China. Furthermore, the scope of the role covers multiple businesses such as Retail, Seller Services, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music, Amazon Kindle. Amazon HRBP / HRP also actively collaborates with various Center of Excellence including Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, and Talent Acquisition.
This role will act as an influential partner in helping managers with talent management, people development, performance management. Thanks to their visibility across businesses and their access to data on managers’ and employees’ requests, this role will be in a position to spot trends and identify emerging needs and address them with innovative people programs, tools and processes. Thus 50% of this role is consultation on following subjects, and 50% is leading HR projects and key initiatives.

HRBP/HRPは、主にビジネスリーダーと連携し、ビジネス戦略に沿ったリーダーの育成プランを開発・実行します。HRBP/HRPは優れた分析力を発揮し、データを活用して、リーダーの判断や戦略に対しコンサルテーションを行います。日本と同様に、米国、欧州、インド、そして中国など、幅広い地域・国々のリーダーをサポートします。サポートするビジネスも、リテール、セラーサービス、Amazon Prime Video、Amazon Music、Amazon Kindleなど多岐に渡ります。また、Diversity Equity and Inclusion、Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, and Talent Acquisitionとも積極的にコラボレーションしながらドライブしていきます。
このポジションでは、特定分野のエキスパート(Subject Matter Expert)として、人材開発、タレントマネージメント、パフォーマンスマネージメントなどの一連の人事労務業務をピープルマネージャーが効果的に行えるよう、ハンズオンなアプローチで業務遂行して頂きます。具体的には、人事データを分析し、組織における課題を特定し、組織横断的に戦略的な施策を行なうことが業務の50%であり、以下を例とするコンサルテーションが50%となります。

•Coach, train and guide leaders to develop their teams through the Talent Management, Performance Management and Annual Compensation Planning processes.
•Identify training opportunities for further develop functional and leadership skills.
•Analyze HR data across the organization and highlight trends and recommend and drive solutions.
•Consult leaders on people matters and work with them to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
•Guide leaders to create a work environment with solid knowledge of Japanese labor law and practic

Basic Qualifications

•Min 3+ years of HR experience (e.g. HRBP, HR Generalist, Leadership Development, Compensation & Benefit, Employee Relations and Engagement, Talent Management, Performance Management, etc.).
•Ability to deal with ambiguous situations and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Excellent communication, coaching, strategic thinking abilities and project management skills.
•Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
•Business Level in both of Japanese and English Language (Writing & Speaking)

Preferred Qualifications

•Comfortable working with data and/or processes to analyze and identify root causes, monitor progress, assess effectiveness of programs and develop key action plans to address findings.
•Experience working in a high-tech, fast paced, entrepreneurial environment requiring strong project management abilities.
