Job Summary:

This position is in charge of development and delivery of digital media strategy / plan for all brands and e-retail environment in Hill’s Japan. He/She works closely with internal stakeholder utilizing / managing agency capability to deliver
excellent media strategy, execution, leadership and innovation in Japan. He/She is responsible for management of the media investment budget by optimizing media productivity and adjusting the budget corresponding to the business requirement.

What you will do:

  • Overseeing the media and digital strategy for the company, Brand and e-Retail with managing the agency and collaborating internal stakeholders.
  • Co design media strategy with the Brand leads and eCOM CD lead how to grow mental availability with utilizing agency capability.
  • Co plan, monitor and optimize execution of all digital communication vehicles, constantly liaising with the Brand marketing and eCOM CD team utilizing agency capability.
  • Acquire data from pet owners and plan medium to long-term pet owner data ecosystem utilization at various touchpoints, i.e. Ads., EDM, LINE and owned platform, to implement CDP and lead the expansion of CRM touchpoints through data design and collaboration with the Global IT team.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of appropriate communication content design and optimal advertising usage at various retailers, including clinics, pet shops, home centers, and e-commerce platforms. Continuously optimize the strategy and planning to establish a solid foundation for horizontally deploying successful initiatives.
  • Regularly measure, analyze, and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Track and manage related budgets, including opportunities to optimize/maximize ATL investments in paid/owned/earned media given synergies with offline activation and traditional media
  • Manage related media investment within budget by flexibly adjusting the plan in accordance with the business requirement.
  • Regularly identify trends and insights through credible third-party sources, sharing this with key team members to ensure broad competency development.
  • Optimize campaigns based on the relevant social media analysis and social listening, including cross-functional crisis management in social media
  • Explore and discuss alternative approaches for campaigns with the agency, i.e. influencer marketing / KOLs
  • Manage the media agencies effectively at keeping financials in control, scope of work and organizational capabilities in place.
  • Seek efficiencies in agency relationships and be in close contact with Region and WM.
  • Develop and execute talents development plan as well as succession plan in the IBE & digital team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree and above.
  • At least 8 years 8+ years’ experience in Digital Marketing, with an excellent track record in digital media management.
  • Demonstrated experience: Digital media strategy / plan development , Agency management, Precision Marketing People Journeys Proficiency in Search(Organic, Paid & Content) Ecommerce CRM IP Data Programmatic Personalisation at Scale
  • People management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience of owned eRetail platform is a plus.

Travel Requirements:

  • Expected percentage of travel: Up to 10%
