Responsibilities
Meeting Interpretation:
- Facilitate communication by interpreting spoken content between Japanese and English during meetings.
- Ensure clear and accurate translation to help both English-only and Japanese-only speakers understand the discussions.
- Prepare for meetings by reviewing agendas and relevant documents to ensure familiarity with topics and technical terms.
Document Translation and Review:
- Translate JIRA tickets from JPN ENG and ENG JPN, ensuring accurate and context-sensitive translations.
- Collaborate with a translator to assist in the translation of the company's platform, manuals, and training guides.
- Perform quality control checks on translated materials to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Technical Communication:
- Use knowledge of IT industry to convey complex technical information such as IT implementations, data transfers, API payloads, and software integration accurately.
- Work closely with the IT and software development teams to ensure that technical terminology is correctly interpreted and translated.
Client Care:
- Serve as a linguistic bridge during interactions with clients, ensuring clear and effective communication in both Japanese and English.
- Assist client-facing teams by translating client communications, feedback, and requirements accurately to support project success.
- Provide culturally sensitive translations to enhance client relationships and ensure client satisfaction with the services provided.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries related to language support, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to excellent service.
Requirements
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese and fluent English skills.
- Experience in interpreting meetings and translating documents.
- Ability to review and ensure quality control of translations.
- Client care is very important as you will work from the client's office.
- Not required but nice to have : familiarity with tech software, IT implementations, data transfers, API payloads, and integration processes, etc.
