The Lead Systems Engineer has design responsibility to support delivery of customer workflow, feature functionality, product quality, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, regulatory compliance, and cost for diagnostic ultrasound products. The role focuses on execution of system integration, requirements development and flow down, architecture/system design support, subsystem interaction analysis, and development/execution of system performance, verification, and validation activities.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide broad technical expertise to serve as the system integrator to deliver the best image quality diagnostic ultrasound product to the customer.
- Work across functions and team boundaries to define, design, integrate, and implement ultrasound product platform features and solutions.
- Responsible for developing requirements, traceability flow down, architecture/system design and analysis, FMEA, developing/executing System Verification and Validation test procedures, and providing support to manufacturing and field issues.
- Participate in software implementation for innovative future ultrasound projects using MATLAB and C++.
- Support system architecture design with emphasis on software components for innovative ultrasound projects.
- Interact with customers, Marketing and field personnel to define and refine requirements for engineering implementation.
- Develop methods to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on image quality and system performance.
- Deliver and incorporate internal and external user feedback into hardware, software and service specifications.
- Support manufacturing and field issue resolution with appropriate systems engineering analysis and follow-through.
- Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives.
- Comply with the Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or closely related discipline.
- Proficiency in digital signal processing.
- Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems.
- Proficiency in both MATLAB and C++. This would include, but not limited to, the ability to create standalone code and to debug large code sets in both languages.
- Broad exposure to Hardware/Software/Systems design, and technical depth in one or more engineering disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, etc.)
- Business level English communication skill.
