  • Manage contract and monitor the progress of all licensing relationships. This includes(i) maintaining good relationship with license partners and thus open the possibility of improvement/modification of terms, access to portfolio additions, etc, (ii) negotiate adaptations in line with Santen’s (portfolio-/) strategic intents and (iii) manage settlements and discontinuations as the case may be.
  • Guide cross-functional members to idea strategic direction to materialize value which has been originally estimated at the transactions.

Obtain proper input through communication with Head of Alliance Management as well as Head of Global Business Developmen

  • Guide the best practice and strategic way to manage existing collaborations through alignment and communication with Head of Alliance Management as well as Head of Global Business Development
  • Analyze current status quo of alliance management and develop infrastructure and workstreams to centralize all operational and contractual activities with license partners under Business Development
  • Oversee performance of individual alliance management project as per defined corporate and strategic objectives and contractual requirements
  • Lead the planning, implementation and monitoring of operational activities of alliances
  • Anticipate and raise potential issues, conflicts and risks at maximization of the projects and provide recommendations to mitigate
  • Work to continuously improve overall alliance management practices
  • Lead change management for value-added modification of operational activities (bilateral)

Monitor timely conduct and support of reconciliation procedures

Experience and skills required

  • 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Alliance Management, Business Development, Project Management, R&D , Supply Management, and/or similar form of customer service oriented activity in the healthcare industry
  • 7+ years of experience in the area of relationship management, including customers, suppliers and partners
  • Experience in support activities across the alliance lifecycle
  • Experience in either drug development, pharmacology and/ or pharma marketing/ market access
  • Fluency in English
