Job Description
This is a global technology leader in the mobility space, focused on building cross-functional and cross-cultural teams. The company is the only automotive provider focused exclusively on cockpit electronics. Its strategy centers on leading the evolution of automotive digital cockpits and safety solutions, driven by constant innovation. The role sits within the Engineering function.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and track PD schedule: Develop a schedule of product development (PD) activities and track their delivery.
- Issue and risk management: Identify and resolve technical product development issues.
- Release management: Ensure timely and correct release of Bill of Materials and specifications to support project timing.
- Design quality tools management: Coordinate design reviews, FMEA completion, SCIF, etc.
- Configuration management / change management / budget tracking: Track project resources and budget.
- Sub-system testing activities: Perform initial testing of components in order to sign off for verification/validation testing.
- Work package management: Manage non-software work packages (e.g. HW/ME).
Required Qualifications
- BE in Electronics / Instrumentation / Electrical.
- Experience as a Technical Lead at a Tier-1 supplier.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of electrical/electronics.
- System engineering experience in Instrument Cluster / Audio programs / Infotainment systems (product requirement capture, SRD).
- Good knowledge of requirement tools (DOORS NG, RTC).
- Experience with various SW flashing tools such as Mycanic, Cyclone Pro and FP5 programmer.
- Knowledge of the System-V diagram.
- Knowledge of various certification tasks (Android, Apple CarPlay, Wi-Fi, BT, USB, CE, ICASA).
- Flexibility on timings and travel to the customer's place.
- Preferred behaviors: functional expert (a thought leader on a subject), enthusiastic, detail oriented, dedicated.
Language Required: Business-level Japanese (JLPT N2 and above) and Business-level English.
