Appealing Points:

  • Lead a large-scale global transformation program by managing Japan’s PMO activities, governance, risks, timelines, and alignment with APAC and global teams.
  • Bridge Japan business and global technology teams by coordinating pharmaceutical commercial, medical, CRM, and regulatory requirements across multiple workstreams.
  • Drive successful adoption and delivery by supporting change management, user readiness, CRM migration, and collaboration with global partners such as Deloitte and Salesforce.

Annual Salary: 10 Million Yen and above

Job Responsibilities:

  • Program Management & Governance
    • Own the end-to-end Japan PMO function for Customer Application: schedule, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, budget tracking, and status reporting.
    • Coordinate with the APAC PMO and the Global Customer Application TMO to align Japan plans with global releases and Japan's market deployment window in the APAC sequencing plan.
    • Establish and run Japan Customer Application governance forums (Steerco, core team, working teams) and prepare executive materials for Japan leadership and APAC sponsors.

  • Business IT Bridging (Japan Region Global)
    • Serve as the primary interface between Japan Commercial, Medical, Med Info, CE CoE, and Japan IM Technology, and the APAC / Global program leadership.
    • Ensure Japan's business requirements, localization needs, and regulatory constraints (pharma commercial/medical compliance, HCC, privacy) are surfaced early and represented in Common Core design sprints and lead-region prototypes.
    • Translate global program artifacts into Japan-actionable plans (bilingual — English and Japanese).

  • Change Management Enablement (in support of CE team)
    • Partner with the BPO Field, Change & User Success and Japan CE team to enable and orchestrate the change management activities owned by the CE team — including stakeholder engagement, communications cadence, user readiness, upskilling, and adoption tracking.
    • Coordinate Japan-specific activation milestones with the Global Activation and User Success workstreams.

  • Delivery Coordination Across Workstreams
    • Coordinate Japan participation across the six Customer Application workstreams: TMO; Business & Product Delivery (Commercial Field, Medical Field, Med Info, Field Orchestration, Events, Foundational Enablers); Activation; AI & Data; Tech Enablement; and User Success.
    • Manage integration touchpoints with Closely Coupled Products (E.Ai, Content, Digital Omni, Patient X, Data Governance, iDiscover Platform, ANGen).
    • Track Japan readiness for data migration, content remediation, integrations, GXP/SDLC, and tools/infrastructure workstreams.

  • Reporting, Risk & Vendor Coordination
    • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies with mitigation plans; escalate to APAC / Global TMO as needed.
    • Coordinate day-to-day interaction with Deloitte (transformation partner) and Salesforce (platform partner) delivery teams for Japan-related activities.

Job Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of program / PMO experience, including at least one large-scale global transformation program (multi-region, multi-year, multi-workstream).
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical commercial and medical business, including field sales, MSL, Med Info, KAM, and HQ operating models.
  • Hands-on CRM program experience with both Veeva and Salesforce — including CRM migrations, field enablement, and content / data integration.
  • Proven experience partnering with change management / user adoption teams on enterprise rollouts (field-facing users preferred).
  • Experience working with global systems integrators (Deloitte, Accenture, or equivalent) on regulated life-sciences implementations.
  • Full business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese (verbal and written) — able to represent Japan in global forums and translate back to Japan stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management across senior business and IT leaders in a matrixed global organization.
  • Excellent PMO discipline: planning, RAID management, governance design, executive reporting.
  • Comfortable with agile delivery cadences (design sprints, releases) and hybrid delivery models.
  • Cultural fluency in Japanese business practices (bottom-up decision making, consensus building) and global collaboration norms.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA / life sciences) preferred.
  • PMP, Prosci, SAFe, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
