Senior Data Engineer – ServiceNow to Salesforce Data Migration

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand ServiceNow and Salesforce data models.
  • Design end-to-end data migration strategy, mapping, and transformation rules.
  • Extract, cleanse, transform, and load (ETL/ELT) data from ServiceNow into Salesforce.
  • Build scalable migration pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Python, or MuleSoft.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, reconciliation, and validation during migration.
  • Handle large-volume data loads using Salesforce Bulk API and related integration mechanisms.
  • Develop data migration scripts, automation frameworks, and monitoring processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, Salesforce architects, and functional teams to validate migrated data.
  • Manage data security, governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Troubleshoot migration issues and optimize performance.
  • Support cutover planning, mock migrations, and production deployments.

Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL and database expertise (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).
  • Experience with ServiceNow tables, CMDB, Incident, Change, Asset, and related modules.
  • Experience with Salesforce objects, relationships, Data Loader, Bulk API, and Salesforce platform architecture.
  • ETL/ELT tools and data integration frameworks.
  • Python, Spark, or other data engineering technologies.
  • Data profiling, cleansing, and master data management.
  • Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Preferred Experience

  • 8+ years in data engineering and migration projects.
  • Multiple large-scale enterprise data migration implementations.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Salesforce integrations.
  • Knowledge of Agile project delivery and DevOps practices.
