Senior Solution Architect

Appealing Points:

• Lead Product Architecture Strategy – Define and drive the technical vision for a large-scale in-house product, designing scalable, high-performance solutions across backend, frontend, and mobile platforms.
• Work with Modern Cloud-Native Technologies – Architect microservices using Spring Boot, Kotlin, Java, NodeJS, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms while building resilient, high-availability systems.
• Technical Leadership & Innovation – Mentor engineering teams, influence architectural decisions, and drive best practices in system design, security, performance, and continuous delivery.

Annual salary : 10 Million yen and above

Job Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the architectural vision and roadmap for our in-house product across backend, frontend, and mobile.
• Lead the design of scalable, high-performance, and resilient solutions, translating business needs into technical designs.
• Provide architectural oversight for microservices development using Spring, Kotlin, Java, NodeJS, and MySQL database strategies.
• Champion Docker and Kubernetes for containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native deployments.
• Guide frontend and mobile architectural decisions, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams, providing technical leadership and mentorship.
• Conduct architectural reviews, ensuring adherence to principles, coding standards, and security best practices.
• Drive initiatives for system performance, monitoring, high availability, and disaster recovery.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years in software development, with 2-4 years in a Solution Architect or Lead Architect role.
• Proven track record in designing and scaling complex, high-transactional platforms, ideally in e-commerce or mobile.
• Deep expertise in Spring Boot, Kotlin, Java, NodeJS, and microservices architecture.
• Strong command over MySQL, including schema design, optimization, and scaling.
• Extensive experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). principles.
• Solid understanding of modern web (e.g., React, Angular) and mobile (native iOS/Android, React Native) architectural
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of guiding diverse technical teams.

Preferred Qualification:

• Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) or event storming.
• Familiarity with GraphQL for API design.
• Experience with other NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Cloud architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Prior experience in a fast-paced, agile environment with continuous delivery.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating significant architectural contributions or open-source involvement.
• Experience in building or scaling products in the e-commerce or mobile technology sectors.

Languages Required: Elementary level Japanese (not mandatory) and Business level English
