Senior Specialist/Assistant Manager

A world-renowned media and entertainment company is looking for a Facilities Technical Infrastructure Senior Specialist/Assistant Manager. The position is based in Osaka and requires on-site work with flexible schedules. FULL relocation support is available.

The company is based overseas and is a leader in media, entertainment, and travel experiences. The company operates globally and has strong business in the Americas and Japan including entertainment attractions operations in Osaka.
Your role
You'll be very active when there are new projects and installations in the facilities. The team is responsible for the design elements within Creative projects. This is everything from conduit, manholes, fiber, copper, installation of equipment, IT room design, HVAC, electrical, facility inputs, Creative Theming and Show review, and working with other business units within Japan operations for their technical need (i.e. fire, BMS, RSN, A/V, Security, and others). They are also meeting with vendors on new product and/or existing material needs and meeting with PM's and other UPT groups to review status and/or needs for the projects. This position will report to the Manager of Technical Infrastructure, Japan Facilities.
Responsibilities
* Developing the standards of a Critical Environments infrastructure and management of new infrastructure build-out projects. Ensuring the Campus Distribution facilities are at the highest standards and that uptime reliability of the core systems are met.
* Continually assess resources need, required skillsets and department structure to insure team alignment with Digital Transformation and requirements. Consult with management on opportunities and challenges.
* Be the first level of support by providing technical expertise to contractors as needed.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent work experience
* Experience planning and installing data centers and other critical environment racks, cable management, copper, and fiber optic cabling.
* Experience and knowledge of industry standards in telecom and structured cabling.
* Experience and knowledge of MEP standards and operations.
* Experience installing equipment within electrical codes, grounding regulations, and calculating consumption calculations.
* Experience and knowledge of Site Construction and vendor management
* Experience and knowledge of cable management and fiber distribution standards
* Experience with code enforcement or compliance, understanding general building terms and processes.
* Strong analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail
* Professional Business communication and interpersonal skills.
* Advanced MS Office skills, including PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
* Understanding of Autodesk Navisworks, RevIT, AutoCAD is a plus.
* Native level English & JLPT N3 Japanese OR Native Level Japanese & Business Level English
Qualifications
* Strong analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Project Management Experience
* BICSI RCDD - preferred but not required.
* ​​​​CommScope Designer - preferred but not required
