Department Overview
We are responsible for creating customer touchpoints through real-world channels and driving business growth, with a core focus on the operation of Rakuten Mobile shops.
These shops are not merely places for signing contracts; they play a vital role in supporting the brand experience as the "front line of customer engagement," providing a cross-sectional range of Rakuten Group services including telecommunications, finance, and e-commerce.
Mission
- Optimization of store operations and advanced resource management: Maintaining headcount management to meet fulfillment rates and store manager/SV placement goals, establishing schemes for improvement activities and SV skill development, and rigorously monitoring staff operations to ensure the integrity of store management.
- Transformation of operational schemes and productivity improvement through training infrastructure: Promoting strategic reviews of direct employment versus outsourcing based on store Tier ratings, and establishing/operating improvement flows for underperforming stores. Simultaneously, expanding the scope of staff-exclusive e-learning to continuously raise on-site productivity and professional skills.
- Maximizing store metrics through operational improvement: Quantitatively raising the quality of store operations to achieve targets for CVR, Apps, and ARPU. Driving the maximization of store output and steady improvement of key metrics through the synergy of business process improvement and staff development.

As each store serves as a critical customer touchpoint for Rakuten Group's diverse services—including telecommunications, finance, and e-commerce—in addition to acquiring contracts, we must further strengthen cross-departmental initiatives such as personnel management, staff development, and the standardization of business processes.
To keep pace with business growth, we are looking for talent who can understand both the field and headquarters perspectives to drive strategy formulation and initiative execution.
Position Details
In this position, you will contribute to business growth by optimizing store operations and maximizing key metrics through outsourced management tasks and cross-departmental initiatives.
- Formulating strategies and driving initiatives for transitioning outsourced stores to direct management.
- Negotiating with multiple corporate entities and developing large-scale staffing plans.
- Building an operational foundation through budget management (multi-billion yen scale) and preparing reports for executive management.
- Leading cross-functional projects ranging from organizational structuring for direct management to solving on-site operational issues.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Experience in business improvement, business planning, sales planning, business promotion, or store operation support, with a proven track record of reviewing existing processes, improving operations, and implementing standardization.
- Experience in leading initiatives or projects by collaborating with multiple departments and on-site staff, including issue identification, schedule management, progress tracking, and coordination.
- Practical experience in data aggregation and analysis using Excel, including the ability to organize figures, identify issues, and create reports using functions and Pivot Tables.
- Experience in creating internal proposals, reports, and business flow documentation using PowerPoint.
- Experience in analyzing current situations based on sales or KPI figures, and in planning or supporting the execution of improvement actions.
- Experience working as a hands-on practitioner in a corporate environment, driving projects forward while engaging relevant stakeholders.
- TOEIC score of 600 or higher
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as a consultant or in corporate planning, with a focus on structurally capturing business or organizational challenges and driving business forward.
- Experience in sales promotion or Sales Ops, involved in sales figure management, operational flow improvement, and building operations within a large-scale organization.
