Role Overview

  • This position is responsible for leading all forecasting activities for Baxter’s Front Line Care (FLC) and Care & Connectivity Solutions (CCS) businesses in Japan, covering both demand planning and market planning. The goal is to deliver accurate, insight‑driven forecasts that incorporate current market information, enabling the company to anticipate customer demand and provide the global planning team with the right inputs to meet that demand.

  • You will execute product supply planning, demand planning, inventory management, backorder resolution, and pipeline monitoring. By proactively communicating with stakeholders, you will ensure stable product supply, mitigate risks, and maintain operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product supply planning and purchasing strategies.

  • Manage inventory levels for assigned SKUs, ensuring optimal balance between availability and efficiency.

  • Lead resolution of supply issues through proactive stakeholder communication.

  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal counterparts to secure reliable product supply.

  • Optimize inventory levels and warehouse replenishment for assigned SKUs.

  • Drive improvements in planning processes and operational efficiency.

  • Contribute to cross‑functional projects and initiatives.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs and improve cost efficiency.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in supply chain planning, including demand planning, S&OP, and process improvement.

  • Strong mathematical and statistical abilities, with expertise in forecasting methods and understanding their financial and operational impacts.

  • Advanced analytical, organizational, decision‑making, and presentation skills.

  • Well‑organized with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of demand planning software preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related tools.
