Company Description
Streamhub is a global analytics platform powering total audience measurement, planning and targeting for TV, audio and streaming services. Our mission: make audience data actionable and accessible across the entire media ecosystem. We work with broadcasters, streaming platforms and advertising agencies across multiple countries, combining advanced analytics, AI-driven insights and scalable engineering to solve complex problems across the media and advertising value chain.
We are growing our team in Tokyo and Bangalore offices and looking for those wanting to work in a B2B tech start-up environment.
The Opportunity
This isn't a typical account management job. As Technical Account Manager, you'll work at the point where customers, product and technology meet — trusted by clients to explain what's genuinely possible with the platform, and trusted by product and engineering to bring back honest signals from the field about what to build next.
The role breaks down into two distinct halves. The first is technical ownership of a portfolio of accounts: staying close to their day-to-day needs, running discovery and innovation sessions, and designing solutions that push the platform further. The second is building the AI layer of our sales and marketing operations — finding where AI can create real value in customers' data pipelines and internal workflows, then building those solutions yourself and feeding what you learn back into Streamhub's AI roadmap.
You'll report to the Country Manager and work in close partnership with engineering, acting as the technical face of Streamhub for clients and deals across Japan and the broader APAC region.
What you'll be doing:
Account Ownership & Technical Discovery
- Own the technical relationship for a portfolio of accounts, leading discussion sessions that go beyond surface-level feature requests.
- Run innovation workshops with clients, demonstrating what AI and Streamhub products can unlock for their measurement and analytics challenges.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers in Japan and APAC — the person they call when they need to think through hard problems.
- Translate nuanced technical and data requirements into precise, actionable briefs for product and engineering, ensuring nothing is lost in translation.
- Build lasting technical relationships that create trust, reduce churn, and open doors to expanded partnership.
- Demonstrate Streamhub's platform to technical and business audiences, adapting depth and framing to the room.
- Develop technical proposals that clearly articulate Streamhub's value proposition relative to customer objectives.
- Share technical knowledge and raise the bar for how Streamhub engages with customers technically.
AI Enablement
- Design and implement AI-powered workflows across customer data pipelines, measurement processes and internal delivery workflows — not just recommend them, but build them.
- Identify where large language models, automation and AI tooling can accelerate data integration, quality checking, anomaly detection and insight generation.
- Monitor and manage customer data pipelines built on Airflow, Kubernetes and AWS/GCP.
- Evaluate emerging AI tools and determine where they create genuine leverage for our customers or our team.
Product Development Contribution
- Act as a structured feedback channel between customers and the product team — turning field observations into well-reasoned product proposals.
- Contribute directly to product direction by synthesising insights from across the customer base into patterns that inform prioritisation decisions.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in audience measurement, AdTech and AI so that Streamhub's roadmap reflects where the market is heading.
- Collaborate across engineering and product teams in London and Bangalore, ensuring consistent delivery standards and knowledge transfer.
What you'll need:
- Customer-facing depth: 5+ years in a B2B technology company in a role that required strong technical engagement with enterprise customers — Technical Account Manager, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Technical Product Manager or similar.
- Proven track record of hitting account management targets or active support in closing of new sales
- Media industry knowledge: At least 2 years of relevant experience in audience measurement, research, advertising, or analytics / technology systems used by media or ad tech companies.
- Enjoys communicating: ability to listen to customer needs in detail, discuss these needs internally, and actively present proposals to customers or internally
- Tech skills: Basic understanding of how Analytics and Data pipeline works in general: ETL, pipelines, APIs and Cloud infrastructure
- Team player: You have experience in working with small teams and you're very good at what you do and even better at working with the team
- You must be able to work permanently in Japan.
Package:
- salary: from 10,000,000 JPY
- eligible for sales related bonus
- eligible for share options after 1st year
- paid leave: 28 days (including public holidays)
- probation period: 6 months
- training budget and 1 - 2 training visits to UK and Bangalore officers per year
- opportunities to publish blogs and be part of cutting edge R&D publications
- hybrid working with 3 days in office
- national insurance covered
