Role name and description

Finance role within the Reporting & Analytics (R&A) team to join our technical development team. The successful candidate will be part of a cross functional team developing, operating and managing our systems that support planning, accounting and reporting for our Global Functions and the Executive.

The opportunity

The incumbent is supporting ad hoc reporting needs as well as assist in the creation of recurring reports intended for multiple users supporting a team of analysts, & supervisors. Knowledge of SAP – including navigation of the system, using T codes, Finance Controlling (FICO) moules are essential.

Working with cross-functional teams, you will participate in the translation of business requirements into technical reporting requirements to meet business needs. Using your skills and experience you will then use those requirements to design, develop, test and implement reports/analysis that utilize the underlying data within the firm data warehouse(s).

Your key responsibilities

SQL skills including knowledge of relational databases (including INSERT, UPDATE, SELECT, LEFT JOIN, RIGHT JOIN, INNER JOIN, PIVOT, UNPIVOT, star schema, snowflake schema, nested/embedded queries, aggregated queries, stored procedures) and related tools (such as Access, SQL Management Studio, Azure Data Studio)
Good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Fabric including Power BI reporting/modelling, setting up dataflows and gateways, moving data with Azure Data Factory
Good knowledge of SSIS – ability to design, deploy, and maintain SSIS packages with Visual Studio
Setting up and scheduling jobs to automate packages
Experience in creating calculated measures and columns with DAX
Good at creating different visualizations using Slicers, Lines, Pies, Maps, Waterfall, Heat Maps, and Tree maps
Experience building and publishing reports with SSRS
Strong knowledge of SAP – including navigation of the system, using T codes, Finance Controlling (FICO) expert, reconciling subledger detail to leading ledger
Strong Excel formula/pivot knowledge including “Match”, “Index”, “Sumif”, “offset”, “conditionals” etc. (again a must)
Basic accounting knowledge and experience in financial reporting and database skills
Planning, budgeting and reporting experience would be an added advantage
Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports/analysis, created from potentially multiple data sources
Develop new reports/ad hoc analysis in various tools
Implement enhancements to existing Reports/Analysis
Perform data validation to ensure accuracy

Strong SQL skills (SSMS, Azure Data Studio)
Good knowledge of SAP - FICO
Knowledge of excel macros (VBA)
Power Apps Technology

To qualify for the role, you must have

2 years + of working in a relational database environment (SQL Server), involving writing queries and analyzing data
Experience with reporting concepts and tasks (operational or functionally) as well as preparing and presenting information to end users in different formats
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
