Responsibilities:

This is key position to provide financial leadership and ensure IT organization’s key financial control by driving financial processes and supporting financial decisions.
To ensure financial control / governance especially for Infra financials where annual plan costs $85m with a few hundred transactions per month. This position is inevitable primarily because;
a) MLJ IT financial transactions has complexity and huge volume. Especially Infra has +300 transactions per month with multi sources i.e.
i) Ariba for infra purchases order, Ariba for infra installments (where purchase orders are not through Ariba), Clarity and People Soft Time Entry for projects capex,
ii) Manual oriented accruals referring payment data and Ariba since no automatic accounts payable system in place
iii) TP(Transfer prices) where above 100 items,
iv) Assets, expense and pre-paid accounts entries are complex where infra assets transactions around +50 or more per month.
v) Financial budgeting and analysis with infra teams requires us a lot of touch points due to complexity above
To build financial reports, a lot of touch points with various counterparts are required i.e. IT team leaders, Finance controller team, Regional / US teams and external auditors. IT Finance is unique role, where helping financial internal control capabilities increase, while collaborating with IT team leaders who drive IT initiatives and portfolios. By closely communicating with IT team leaders, accurate financial forecasting and financial analysis needs to be put in place. In summary, to ensure financial controllership and help to improve organization costs position, this position is one of critical roles in this organization.

Requirements: Please describe the required competencies, including experience, skill sets, etc.

Experience:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis and/or Accounting at least 5y.
  • Experiences under the environments that bilingual communication is required

Skills:

  • Financial / accounting knowledge, experiences and capabilities
  • Bilingual (Japanese and English)
  • Communications to collaborate with people with various background

Preferable:

  • IT finance experiences is highly preferred. i.e. experiences on building accountings processes under Agile delivery, IT costs billing.

Qualifications:

  • US CPA / MBA is preferred
