Job Description
- The PMO Manager is responsible for establishing and managing project governance, reporting, planning, risk management, financial tracking, resource management, and stakeholder communication across programs and projects. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives while maintaining compliance with organizational standards and methodologies.
Job Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain PMO governance frameworks, standards, and processes; ensure compliance with project management methodologies
- Monitor project health, provide executive-level visibility through dashboards and reports, and conduct stage gate reviews and quality assurance assessments
- Support management of multiple projects and programs; track schedules, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths
- Facilitate portfolio prioritization and resource allocation discussions; monitor program performance against KPIs
- Maintain RAID logs, drive mitigation plans and escalation management, and identify cross-project dependencies
- Track project budgets, forecasts, and actual expenditures; support business case development and benefits realization tracking
- Coordinate resource planning and allocation, track utilization, and resolve resource conflicts with functional managers
- Prepare executive dashboards, steering committee packs, and status reports; present updates to senior leadership
- Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and promote automation and reporting efficiencies
Required Qualifications
- 8-12+ years of PMO, Project Management, or Program Management experience
- Strong understanding of project delivery frameworks (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
- Experience managing large-scale transformation, IT, or business programs
- Expertise in RAID management, governance, reporting, and stakeholder management
- Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint
- Experience with project portfolio management tools (ServiceNow PPM, Clarity, Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, or Scrum certifications
- Experience in managed services, infrastructure, cloud, or digital transformation programs
- Knowledge of financial management and benefits realization
- Experience working in global delivery environments
