UX Validation Sr, Validation Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced validation engineer to join our team. The role focuses on technical leading of UX audit/validation for our MCU, MPU and Power product. This is a great opportunity to work with multiple teams and collaborate with hardware design, software development, and system engineering experts. Together, this will be a growth opportunity where the candidate will learn, contribute and influence Renesas’s Whole Product Framework which brings Renesas to the top-class UX provider in semiconductor market.

Essential Functions:

• Understand UX requirement from mass market customers based on application system designer’s user journey and reflect them on comprehensive Whole Product Framework.


• Plan and execute the audit/validation of Renesas products deliverables for new products based on Whole Product Framework requirement.


• Feedback on the audit/validation results to product groups, propose the enhancement of deliverables and drive the enhancement activity.


• Support creation and review of technical documentation (Datasheets, User Manuals/Guides, Application Notes, EVK schematics etc)

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• MCU&MPU system: Strong understanding of MCU&MPU architecture, ARM cores (A/M series), peripherals, power/clock/reset, and low-power design.


• Software Design Environment: Skill to understand what environments and deliverables are required by mass market designers.


• Hardware Design Environment: Skill to understand what environments and deliverables are required by mass market designers.


• Evaluation System: Skill to set up a semiconductor evaluation environment and conduct basic evaluations for Hardware and Software.


• PMIC: Good understanding of electronic components like PMICs, MOSFETs and other discrete.


• Competitive Analysis: Experience in competitive analysis of semiconductor vender, especially design environment.


• Teamwork and Collaboration: Proven track record of collaborating within diverse, international teams, and managing multi-stakeholder environments.


• Communication Skills: Business-level proficiency in English & Japanese, both spoken and written, for effective communication with international team members and stakeholders.


• University degree graduate or above: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical field.


• Minimum experience: 5-7 years of experience in embedded hardware and system design and validation encompassing microcontrollers and microprocessors.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Competitor’s Hardware: Experience with ST Micro, TI, NXP, or another competitor’s is a plus.


• Passion for Technical Field: Strong passion for embedded systems.
