As a Vice President, Sales & Relationship Management with Clearstream Banking, you are tasked with developing our funds business and growing a portfolio of local relationships with a thorough understanding of our suite of investment fund services product offering in Japan to bank financial institutions, financial intermediaries, institutional investors, wealth management platforms, fund distributors and asset managers. You are tasked to grow our funds business in Japan and be responsible for incremental revenue generation and client engagement. Together with a team of experts in sales and relationship management, you will be a key part of a growing commercial regional team and significantly contributing to the Deutsche Börse Group overall strategy.
Your Responsibilities:
- Promote, market and grow our funds product offering in Japan to new and existing clients.
- Manage a pipeline of prospective clients and originate new revenue across our services.
- Devise and execute a sales and marketing strategy in Japan incorporating the global funds initiatives.
- Build working relationships with key stakeholders and influencers across your client base.
- Ensure that issues, whether contractual, commercial or operational are resolved in a timely manner
- Prepare and implement documentation in line with internal compliance, credit, legal and audit requirements including taking full responsibility for AML/KYC.
- Ensure prospects are turned into satisfied customers by migrating them quickly and efficiently.
- Build an account plan for each customer and ensure our value proposition is positioned as the market model of the future. Ensure that all levels of your clients are covered.
- Represent Clearstream at external events, organise and contribute to our regional client events.
- Maintain professional knowledge, keep abreast of general market updates, industry developments and competitors’ activities.
Our Requirements:
- University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or another relevant subject.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation skills, customer service and focus.
- Excellent track record of of managing large and strategic client relationships.
- Strong understanding of banking services and processes in the Japanese funds industry.
- Ability to act independently and work well as a regional team player.
- Occasional travel will be expected.
- Proficiency in English and Japanese is mandatory. Other Asian languages is a plus.
