SW Engineer

Performs Engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments Responsibilities are within the Engineering Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

Summary

Vehicles today are using various ECU and its connected by multiple in-vehicle network. Each car manufacturer are adopt different solution (i.e. CAN, MOST) and different communication protocol according to the intended use.

Without exception, BOSE premium amplifier also connected in it.

We are seeking a highly-motivated, self-driven and experienced individual to join the automotive embedded software group.

The Software Engineer will conduct embedded software development for each specific communication protocol to exchanging information/receive entertainment audio control command in the in-vehicle network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer requirement gathering and analysis at early development stage.
  • Design, implement and debug embedded software.
  • Corollate each functional group (e.g Software core development group, Software quality assurance group and etc.)
  • Review, evaluate, code inspect to adhere to the product definition and intended user experiences.
  • Analyze complex technical problems and propose design of comprehensive solutions
  • Interface and communication skill not only customer but also Bose worldwide internal
  • With a great deal of familiarity to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirement, design, implementation and test

Experience Requirements

  • Solid programming experience in C/C++
  • Strong documentation and writing skills especially customer requirements and software design
  • Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for peripheral components
  • Experience with an embedded RTOS such as Vector OSEK/VDX, AUTOSAR
  • Experience with CAN commutation software development.
  • Experience with static/dynamic code analysis.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Subversion, etc.), defect tracking tools (JIRA, etc.) and peer review
  • Experience with basic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, protocol logger, function generator, multi-meters, etc.)
  • Contribute to all phases of the software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, test and coordination, maintenance and support
  • Great interpersonal skill
  • Communication skills with English and Japanese
  • Good time management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
