App Store Japan contributes significant portion of Global business. Being in a dynamic market environment, we are seeking a energetic, intelligent and passionate leader to join us and lead App Store business relationships with developers based in Japan. Description

We are seeking an seasoned playing manager who will be able drive on global billing growth (both Japan domestic and international) of the Japan based game developers. You will need to be able to identify a growth opportunity, develop and execute a plan. The plan should include locally relevant business and developer engagement strategies.
Your strategy will be based on solid judgement of future market trends and drivers and have insights into competitive dynamics. This will take awareness of competitive dynamics and identification of business opportunities and risks.
You will be responsible for identifying growth strategy for Japan’s developer for both external partners as well as Apple Leadership team. To execute the strategy, you will be responsible for delivering a benchmark study to inform each developers of their performance in comparison with their competitors. You will need to drive App Store feature adoptions including commerce, product feature and other API to improve LTV with our partners. This can only be achieved via close collaboration with developers to ensure the best content is made available for our platform, with activities including regular engagement/ growth planning/ new feature adoption/ platform preference/ policy compliance and campaign executions.
As a team leader, you will be required to enhance your team capabilities through training, methodology development, coaching. You will need to identify the gaps & growth opportunities for Japanese developer, and advocate the gaps/needs to a stakeholder. You will need to be hands on and additionally maintain strong relationships and be influential with the right external and internal stakeholders such as (Apple’s Developer Relations, Product Marketing, other App Store teams, Finance, Analytics team etc, at local and global level). Through this hands on approach you will be able to produce a meaningful result by gaining cross functional team’s alignment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experiences in scaling Japan-made games to international market is a plus
Experiences in execution initiatives to grow business in stagnant market is a plus
Multiple functional experience in gaming (e.g. M&A/ publishing / content / marketing / studio) is a plus
Strong project management skills
Excellent presentation skills and outstanding attention to details.
Results oriented, upbeat and focused with a strong desire to learn and succeed.
BA/BSc degree in business, finance, data analytics or equivalent degree preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

10~15+ years of experience in business development and strategy in the digital content, entertaiment, mobile, gaming or consumer high tech.industry
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies that deliver the measurable business growth (e.g. initiating and closing deals, revenue growth, business model innovation, large scale projects)
Working experience in companies that has multiple geo footprint that needs to work with many groups to achieve goals.
Strong relationship network with executive level team at major developers or client
10+ years of experience managing and developing teams in business development, partnership, engagement context
Strong executive communication and storytelling skills including excellent written & verbal business interpersonal skills in Japanese and English are required.
