Country Sales Manager

Sales Leadership

  • Lead the sales organization for the entire portfolio within different industries, territories and sales channels throughout Japan.
  • Deliver annual sales revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
  • Develop and implement sales plans aligned with regional business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Maximize sales performance while maintaining healthy profit margins.

Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 15 professionals.
  • Set clear objectives and performance expectations for team members
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and talent development activities.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure appropriate product, commercial, and sales skills training for the team.

Customer & Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers and business partners.
  • Support Global Account Management initiatives and regional key account strategies.
  • Develop and manage distributor and channel partner networks where appropriate.
  • Participate in customer visits, business reviews, negotiations, and executive meetings.

Sales Operations

  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM discipline.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Manage departmental budgets and operating expenses.
  • Coordinate sales activities with Supply Chain, Regional Sales Support Functions, Product Management, Finance, HR and other internal functions.

Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Support major projects in collaboration with Product Management and Regional Sales teams.
  • Represent the company at customer events, exhibitions, seminars, and industry conferences.
  • Promote cross-selling opportunities across all product and solution portfolios.

Leadership & Compliance

  • Communicate and promote company values, business objectives, and regional strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and business updates to VP APAC (Singapore).
  • Build strong collaboration with regional and global stakeholders to support business growth.
