[ Your Mission ]

Oversee Creative Direction and Management

As the Creative Director, you will lead our creative team to develop and execute innovative branding, packaging, and marketing strategies that enhance Bokksu's presence and consumer engagement. Reporting directly to the Global Creative Director, you will oversee the creative vision across all channels, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality creative outputs.

The Creative Director role requires working at least 3 days a week from our Tokyo office in the Shinjuku neighborhood.

[ Your Responsibilities ]

  • Creative Leadership – Direct and inspire a team of designers, copywriters, and external contractors to produce compelling visual and textual content that aligns with our strategic goals.
  • Creative Collaboration – Align with creative teams to ensure ad creatives align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
  • Brand Development – Innovate and refine our branding and packaging to enhance consumer experience and engagement. Maintain brand consistency across all marketing and communications channels.
  • Performance Marketing – Develop creative for organic social media and performance marketing campaigns, optimizing for different platforms to maximize reach and impact.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration – Work closely with the brand management and marketing teams to align creative strategies with broader company objectives.
  • Project Management – Manage multiple projects from concept through completion, ensuring they meet deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Industry Trends – Stay updated with the latest trends in design and marketing to keep Bokksu at the forefront of the industry.

  • Design Perfectionist - Possesses a strong eye for detail across art direction, graphic design, branding, typography, photography, and social media content.

  • Data-Driven - Utilize design thinking ideology while leveraging data to inform who we are creating for and iterate as needed for different customer personas
  • Production Pro - Experience planning and overseeing photoshoots for campaign or product launches, including mood boarding, budgeting, and scheduling

[ Your Qualifications ]

  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in a creative leadership role, with a proven track record in both creative strategy and hands-on execution.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is essential. Strong skills in graphic design, typography, and digital content production are required.
  • Marketing Savvy: A keen understanding of organic social media dynamics and performance marketing assets. Experience with digital advertising and content marketing is required.
  • Leadership: Strong management experience with the ability to inspire and lead creative teams.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills in English; Japanese language skills are a plus.
  • Cultural Fit: Passion for Japanese culture and snacks
