Our team produces creative marketing campaigns across paid and organic channels to expand our reach and drive downloads and revenue for the business. About the role:

At GoodNotes, we are so lucky to have users that love us and our award-winning app! As we plan to scale and reach our next set of ambitious acquisition and retention goals, we’re searching for a motivated and results-driven CRM Manager who can develop and launch an integrated CRM program. The ideal candidate will have extensive strategic and hands-on experience in CRM marketing (email, push notifications, in-app), including but not limited to setup, deployment, campaign optimization, and the segmentation and analysis of data to drive insights for the business.


You will have the responsibility to drive revenue and engagement sustainably through integrated CRM campaigns (email, in-app, push notifications) by creating and implementing innovative strategies designed to acquire, retain, and reactivate users across all segments.

This is the role for you, if you're excited to work on the things listed below:

  • Strategize and design an integrated CRM program
    • Developing strategy, and frameworks and maintaining best practices for multi-channel, integrated CRM initiatives by designing and learning from experiments across owned marketing channels (Email, App Push, In-app messaging) globally
    • Collaborate with the marketing team as well as product teams to promote new features & ideate on tailored campaigns to cross-sell/up-sell new products to drive sales
  • Manage CRM operations
    • Understand our data analytics capabilities and implement tracking in addition to setting up campaigns
    • Implement all CRM campaigns within the CRM platform globally and ensure that it works seamlessly and captures all required data points
    • Create and launch an email collection program that will allow us to leverage email as another touchpoint in our CRM campaigns
    • Maintain a close partnership with our external CRM platform and collaborate to identify new opportunities for further growth
  • Generate insights, optimize, and expand our CRM capabilities
    • Deep dive into data points and translate them into actionable insights, making recommendations around prioritization to Product leads and our Marketing lead
    • Lead audience segmentation and make content recommendations based on rigorous data analysis, with an understanding of expected results and outcome
    • Set strategic hypotheses and create tests to confirm hypotheses with continuous optimizations

The skills you will need to be successful in the above:

  • 7+ years of CRM experience in a global B2C/eCommerce app startup
  • Demonstrated experience in driving an integrated CRM strategy (including email, in-app, and push notification) to drive retention, engagement, and sales metrics
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in marketing cloud/marketing automation tools, including but not limited to Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, Braze, and/or Iterable
  • Experience creating, launching, and maintaining an email collection program
  • Ability to generate data using tools such as Tableau, Amplitude, and others (coding skills not required)
  • Experience collaborating effectively with a global marketing team & cross-functionally with product, and design teams to plan and launch CRM campaigns

The interview process:

  • An introductory call with someone from our talent acquisition team. They want to hear more about your background, what you are looking for, and why you’d like to join GoodNotes
  • A short take-home assignment to demonstrate your skills
  • A role-specific interview with someone from our marketing team to get to know more about your experience
  • A call with your hiring manager. This is the person who will be managing you day to day, working on your growth and development with you as well as supporting you throughout your career at GoodNotes
  • A call to meet the team. You will get the chance to speak to 2 or 3 people you’d be working closely with will with 2-3 people you’d be working closely with. This will be a 45-minute interview focused more on your cultural fit with GoodNotes. You will also be expected to prepare a short presentation on something you are passionate about.
