Maintaining and developing key financial institution client relationships while contributing to business growth through data-driven insights, innovative product development, and process enhancement.
As an Associate within our Fixed Income Sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing key financial institution client relationships, including day-to-day execution of Fixed Income Securities (mainly Sovereign and SSA), Interest Rate Derivatives products (flow and structured), and structured products. In addition, you will be expected to contribute to business planning through a data-driven approach, leveraging advanced analytics and AI tools where appropriate, as well as proactively identifying new client opportunities beyond traditional flow products.
Job Responsibilities
Transact across a broad range of clients (asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, banks, etc.)
Partner with trading desks across global hubs (Tokyo, Singapore, London, etc.) and research teams to provide holistic client coverage, including market updates, trade execution support, and actionable insights
Manage the full trade lifecycle including pricing, negotiation, booking, and post-trade processes
Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
Maximize revenue from existing clients while proactively identifying and onboarding new clients
Partner effectively with internal stakeholders to deliver seamless client solutions
Utilize AI and data analytics to support business planning and client strategy with a data-driven mindset
Identify client needs from new perspectives beyond traditional flow products, and proactively collaborate with internal stakeholders (trading, structuring, research, etc.) to originate and deliver new solutions
Drive continuous improvement of sales and operational processes, including identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency enhancement
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Experience executing Fixed Income and Interest Rate Derivatives products with a solid understanding of macroeconomics
Strong analytical and logical thinking ability, with a data-driven mindset
Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytical tools (including AI where applicable) to support decision-making and business planning
Fluent in Japanese and English (both verbal and written)
Creative problem solver with strong ownership and ability to perform under pressure
Team-oriented, detail-focused, and highly disciplined in process and quality control
Strong interest in innovation, including product development and process automation
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in financial services
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Strong proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to quickly learn, multitask, and manage priorities independently
Experience working across multiple stakeholders to originate new business initiatives
Familiarity with automation tools, data analytics platforms, or workflow efficiency initiatives
