We are seeking Sr. Government Relations Manager for our Japan.
As a member of Quantinuum’s Law and Government Relations team, you will be part of a diverse global team, working across regions, product areas and functions. You will combine creativity and intellectual excellence with the organizational skills to manage various campaigns, projects and initiatives. In this role, you’ll advocate for Quantinuum to bring external perspectives back into the company to inform our perception and direction. The Quantinuum Government Relations Manager is responsible for serving as the primary Quantinuum representative to Japanese government ministries, agencies, and relevant public bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Relations Strategist:
Develop advocacy and education campaigns to support business interests.
Represent Quantinuum at industrial associations and public-private forums.
Identify, analyze and disseminate analysis of relevant Japanese laws, budget, regulatory changes, policy and government programs to company stakeholders and leaders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for national ministries, regulatory agencies, and prefectural bodies.
Partner with Japanese universities and research institutions to strengthen academic–government collaboration.
Be a creative problem solver and effective in teaming with a broad range of colleagues across Quantinuum.
In coordination with the Quantinuum leadership team, facilitate the research labs use and adoption of Quantinuum’s hardware and software technologies into their own R&D programs.
Effectively represent and communicate the objectives, issues and outcomes of the government research labs within the Quantinuum teams.
While this role is primarily focused on Japan, the position is expected to support regional APAC government relations activities in a coordinating and supporting capacity, in close collaboration with the global Government Relations team and external local advisors.
Government Relationship Management:
Build and sustain relationships with stakeholders and decision makers in assigned accounts.
Create a metric driven account strategy.
Establish regular contact with key stakeholders and become a trusted advisor to key government liaisons.
Act as an extension of the government organization(s) within Quantinuum for all activities and escalations and coordinating all resources necessary to resolve issues and promote success.
Identify potential paid opportunities by acting as an advocate for Quantinuum within the government organization.
Support business development as a consultative subject matter expert, identifying client business objectives, explaining best practices, documenting and demonstrating product capabilities and use cases.
YOU MUST HAVE:
Bachelor’s degree Minimum
Minimum 8+ years’ experience
Native-level Japanese language proficiency
Ability to read, write, and negotiate complex policy documents
Fluent in formal business Japanese for government interactions
Business-level English proficiency
Communicate effectively with global teams
Present technical concepts to international stakeholders
