The role will be responsible for managing the HRP team in Japan supporting multiple Amazon business orgs.
- HRP manager will provide leadership in the country and lead deployment of HRP strategy for Japan
- HRP Manager is expected to drive synergies through coordinating with business and respective line HR leaders
- HRP Manager will manage their team in partnering with Business Managers on daily manager consultation work.
- HRP Manager will review the manager queries for their team and ensure high quality manager consultation, work towards improving team metric and Customer Experience.
- HRP Manager will drive efficiencies and drive continuous improvements that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team
- HRP Manager will look at opportunities for standardization and optimization and drive process improvements at scale through HR Partners
- HRP manager will work with the HRP team, and (a) Demonstrate understanding of performance and leadership bar and effectively applies to hiring decisions and direct reports (b) Provide regular coaching and feedback to direct reports to help grow individual functional skills and leadership capability, with support from senior managers (c) Set goals for individuals to achieve department or function level goals
In addition, the role holder will also support teams in the capacity of an HR Partner by directly managing and front ending certain cases.
Key job responsibilities
. Design, deliver and constantly improve the Business Manager Experience. Identify and partner on country-wide/regional/global initiatives.
· Partner with COE teams to ensure that people processes are continuously reviewed and streamlined
· Act as the local expert on requests that are site specific like policies and labor law changes
· Manage and support team members during Business Manager Consultation
· Consult managers on people matters that require knowledge of policies, procedures and local legislation, across multiple countries
· Drive Change Management for PXT and Business Managers on key initiatives and implement change plans.
· Support the Talent Management process, developing toolkits and communications that help managers to be self-sufficient
· Analyze data and observations across the organization, highlighting trends and recommending/driving solutions, as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of human resources management experience
- Experience influencing at all levels within an organization, particularly at the executive level
- Experience coaching managers and supervisors to use company best practices for maximum effectiveness
- Business and HR acumen, including problem solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative
- Written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation
- Proven ability to successfully work as a team manager and to build and maintain a positive work environment across the network
- Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment requiring multi-tasking abilities . Proven skill in the operation and utilization software such as Microsoft office
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
- 2+ years of HR within an international, fast-paced, and customer-driven environment experience
