Primary Job Function:


Drive the design, planning, implementation and administration of the organization's Rewards programs, policies, and procedures. This includes compensation, benefits, short and long-term incentives, as well as retirement and recognition programs.  Ensures that Rewards programs enhance the organization's ability to attract and retain employees. Responsibilities include understanding the goals and priorities of the business, managing timelines needed to deliver results for the business, and a thorough understanding of the external market and internal impacts, issues and requirements for all Rewards initiatives. Acts as a consultant and liaison across the Japan businesses, and represents the Rewards function to Business HR and business.


Core Job Responsibilities:


·          Manage projects involving the design & delivery of Rewards programs and initiatives including initial administration and communications, closely managing the matrixed relationship with the business, Human Resources and Centers of Expertise


·          Engage and consult with business HR and leaders to develop Rewards solutions through stakeholder and project management


·          Provide counsel and communication on Rewards programs to business management, human resources and employees.


·          Administer and lead annual Rewards planning process.


·          Establish and maintain relationships with leading Rewards practitioners and consultants on best practice approaches, trends and strategies and legal compliance; act as primary lead with external consultants


·          Lead the roll out, communication and ongoing administration of new and existing Rewards programs; ensure adequate resources are effectively trained


·          Provides technical expertise and support for Rewards programs administration and communication, including job grading, compensation planning, short and long-term incentive programs, health and wellness programs, and retirement


·          Lead of Employee Benefits reviews and renewals, ensuring high quality, sustainable and competitive benefits.


·          Serve as Project Manager for defining business requirements for Rewards projects and ensure service level agreements are met with delivery standards in compliance with the agreement

Qualifications

·          Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills


·          Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) – Japanese and English is essential


·          Thorough understanding of compensation & benefit budgets and funding requirements


·          Demonstrated understanding of business cycles and needs


Qualifications :


·          Bachelor degree with 6+ years experience in Total Rewards / Compensation & Benefits


·          Experience in program and project management


·          Experience in a large, matrixed multinational would be an advantage


·          Naturally analytical and numerate, with strong systems and MS Excel & PowerPoint skills


·          Experience with HR systems, ideally Workday


·          Deep experience of Reward Survey methodologies
