A global tooling and equipment company is looking for a MECHATRONICS ENGINEER with design experience and high skills. You will be based in Yokohama OR Nagoya, according to your preference.

Your Role
* Your mission is to make the system design / conceptual design of the tightening equipment Jig, and successfully deliver it to the customers. You will be responsible the scope definition, detailed mechanical design, conceptual electrical design, and installation to the customer.
* You will have communication with colleagues in the European headquarters and business units in Asia.
* Understand the customer requirement, consider the concept, define the scope.
* Make the mechanical and/or electrical conceptual design of the tightening equipment and reaction Jig.
* Make the detailed mechanical design for customer orders. It is required to implement various calculations such as strength of materials / forces / stresses, and the ergonomic / safety design.
* Implement the final setup at the customer site.
* Ensure the feasibility of the conceptual design by communicating to internal and external parties (e.g. headquarter, project manager, field service engineer, product marketing, sales, supplier, etc.).
* Handle several projects at the same time.
* Implement a process of continuous improvement
You will need
* 5+ years of mechanical OR electrical design experience of industrial equipment.
* Equipment setup experience required.
* 3D CAD experience required.
* Business-level Japanese AND business-level English
* Bachelor's degree in related field. (Technical college or vocational school also acceptable).
Nice to have
* Basic PLC knowledge and especially programming skill are plus
* Driver's license is a plus
