Position: Product Lifecycle Specialist

Reports to: Product Lifecycle Site Lead (JP)

Function: Product Lifecycle Management

Job purpose: As a Product Lifecycle Specialist, you will manage the ingredients and product life-cycle to align with the set targets of safety, quality, efficiency and cost. You will also have a unique opportunity to work with various department levels in Commercial and Operations to ensure seamless bench to batch commercialization.

Main responsibilities

•Manage the ingredient and formula portfolios with a “First Time Right” concept and according to established principles•Ingredient palette: Provide transparency and clarity of the ingredient availability to the key stakeholders•Formula management: Ensure timely, efficient and reproducible introduction of formulas. Follow global change control procedures, approval and communication flows•Issue management: Manage and coordinate the Ingredient issue management platform to prevent ingredient availability, quality or compliance issues from becoming business disruptions.•Product specification management: Ensure first-time right and alignment with customer expectations •Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to drive simplicity, improve efficiency and effectiveness in the product lifecycle management process•Support cross functional projects and initiatives

Main competencies

•Technical bachelor degree / equivalent continuous education in Chemistry or Food science•Good understanding of the Product Lifecycle Management process•Advanced MS Excel and good knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent tools•Data analysis competency•SAP knowledge (preferred)•Project management experience (preferred)•Fluent in English and Japanese
