Position Overview
Informa Markets Japan is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to join our dynamic team. This role is essential to driving revenue growth through acquiring new clients and building relationships with existing customers across our B2B events and digital platforms.
The ideal candidate will bring strong sales skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to understand customer needs and deliver value.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Activities & Revenue Generation
- Achieve and exceed sales targets for assigned events and digital products
- Develop new business and strengthen relationships with existing clients
- Manage the full sales process from prospecting, approach, negotiation, to closing
- Understand clients' business objectives and needs, and propose appropriate solutions
- Sell and customize exhibition and sponsorship packages
- Conduct contract negotiations and terms adjustments
Client Relationship Management
- Build trust with clients and foster long-term partnerships
- Conduct regular client visits, phone calls, and email communications
- Collect customer feedback and utilize it for service improvement
- Enhance customer satisfaction and improve retention rates
- Actively pursue contract renewals and upselling opportunities
Market Research & Strategic Planning
- Research and analyze target markets and industry trends
- Monitor competitor activities and maintain competitive advantage
- Identify and propose new business opportunities
- Contribute to the development and execution of sales strategies
Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and customer service teams
- Cross-functional cooperation for event success
- Active participation in sales meetings and team meetings
- Share best practices and market insights
Sales Administration & Reporting
- Accurate data entry and updates in CRM systems (Salesforce or similar)
- Regular reporting of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts
- Track progress toward sales targets and adjust strategies as needed
- Proper management of customer information and contract documentation
Event Participation & Networking
- Attend assigned events and provide on-site customer support
- Participate in industry events and networking opportunities
- Build relationships with potential clients
- Contribute to enhancing the company's market presence
