We’re seeking a Director, Japan Campus Recruitment Lead to oversee the end-to-end attraction, selection, and onboarding of early career talent through annual internship and graduate programs across all functions in Japan.

This Director-level role sits within the Asia Campus Recruitment team, which partners closely with business leaders to deliver a best-in-class recruitment and internship program experience.
The successful candidate will lead the strategy and execution of campus hiring in Japan, managing a Senior Campus Recruiter and onsite vendor partners. They will act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing strategic guidance and innovative recruiting solutions to meet evolving junior talent needs, while ensuring a seamless and high-quality candidate experience.
What you’ll do in the role
Lead and execute the Japan campus recruitment strategy, partnering with regional/global teams, business leaders, and HRBPs to deliver internship and graduate hiring outcomes
Provide leadership and oversight to a Senior Campus Recruiter and onsite vendor partners, setting direction and driving performance
Design and deliver end-to-end recruitment processes, including attraction strategy, assessment design, events, selection, and candidate experience
Develop and execute annual campus hiring plans across divisions in Japan, including budget planning, forecasting, and campaign delivery
Oversee assessment frameworks to ensure consistency, fairness, and integrity across all hiring processes
Build and maintain strategic university partnerships and lead employer branding initiatives in collaboration with Recruitment Marketing to attract diverse talent
Own the candidate lifecycle, delivering a high-touch and seamless experience from engagement through to onboarding
Partner with vendors, external stakeholders, and HR colleagues to deliver internship programs, including end-to-end management of the summer internship
Ensure data integrity across systems to enable accurate reporting, insights, and decision-making
Drive continuous improvement of recruitment strategies, processes, and policies in line with market trends and diversity goals
What you’ll bring to the role
Fluency in Japanese and English, with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Proven experience in campus or early careers recruitment, including program management
Financial Services or related industry experience preferred
Strong knowledge of the Japan graduate recruitment landscape, with understanding of broader Asia hiring trends and assessment methodologies
Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into effective recruiting strategies and deliver high-quality, high-touch hiring processes
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, build credibility, and operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Highly organized with strong attention to detail; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with ATS platforms
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Typically 6+ years of relevant experience
