Our client is a global technology and logistics organisation with a long-established presence in Japan. Operating within a highly international environment, the Japan business plays a key role in the company's Asia-Pacific operations.
Description
* Act as a strategic HR partner to business leaders on organisational design, workforce planning, and succession planning
* Lead end-to-end HR operations including payroll, performance management, compensation & benefits, and HR compliance
* Oversee talent acquisition and onboarding, building sustainable local talent pipelines
* Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and labour law compliance in Japan
* Serve as the primary HR point of contact for the Japan organisation, reporting into regional HR leadership
Profile
* Solid experience in HR management within Japan, covering both strategic and operational HR
* Strong knowledge of Japanese labour law and HR best practices
* Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders in a business-facing HR role
* Comfortable working in an international, matrixed organisation
* Business-level English and Japanese communication skills
