Main Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to IT Operation Manager, this is a hands-on role working a high pressure 24/5 financial trading environment.
  • Ensuring 1st line smooth support of day to day technical operations of trading floor will be core component of your role, with desktop support, Windows OS, and End-User Application support on a dealing floor as the key requirements, and telecommunication optional.
  • Take ownership of user problems and follow up the status of problems on behalf of the user and communicate progress in a timely manner
  • Incident and Problem management.
  • Provide day to day issue escalation and management
  • Supporting and maintaining operational manual/procedure for the maintenance and support of the operation.
  • Adhering to current service culture within the IT operation team
  • Ensuring compliance to Company & Regulatory requirements.
  • Other scope: e.g. desk move, new hardware or software purchase / deployment, the telephony systems support.

Knowledge & Expertise

  • 3yrs+ experience in an enterprise environment that operate 24-5 platforms
  • Experience of working in an ITIL aligned service management environment and embedding robust operational processes, procedures and reporting.
  • o Proven ability to work on your own whilst being aware of pressures in other areas of IT and able to communicate within the team/intra-teams is vital.
  • Proven track record in incident and problem resolution across multiple technologies / applications, including management of users expectations.
  • Experience with various Windows OS version.
  • Experience in dealing floor telecommunication equipment (BT Netrix) and voice line technologies. (Optional)
  • Must be competent with basic networking and application troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge and experience in various financial market data application such as Bloomberg, Reuters, Markit etc
