Release Manager

Appealing Points:

• Lead Enterprise Release & Change Management – Own end-to-end release planning, governance, deployment coordination, and change management for complex enterprise applications.
• Drive Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement – Improve release quality, deployment efficiency, and process maturity through automation, risk management, and DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate with Senior Stakeholders Across Functions – Work closely with development, infrastructure, security, operations, and business teams to ensure successful and low-risk production releases.

Job Qualification:

• 7–12+ years of experience in Release Management, Change Management, Software Delivery, DevOps, IT Operations, or Program Management.
• Release Planning & Coordination:
  • Develop and maintain release calendars and deployment schedules.
  • Coordinate release activities across development, testing, infrastructure, security, and production support teams.
  • Define release scope, objectives, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Ensure all release milestones and deliverables are completed on schedule.
  
  
• Release Governance:
  • Establish and enforce release management processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct release readiness reviews and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational governance, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain release documentation, deployment plans, and approval records.
  
  
• Change Management:
  • Collaborate with Change Management teams to ensure successful execution of production changes.
  • Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
  • Review and assess release risks and business impacts.
  • Ensure all release activities comply with change management policies.
  
  
• Deployment Management:
  • Coordinate deployments across development, QA, UAT, staging, and production environments.
  • Oversee production release execution and deployment activities.
  • Manage rollback and contingency plans for failed deployments.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to business operations during releases.
  
  
• Risk and Issue Management:
  • Identify release risks, dependencies, and potential conflicts.
  • Develop mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Escalate critical issues to stakeholders and leadership as needed.
  • Drive issue resolution through cross-functional collaboration.
  
  
• Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate release schedules, deployment plans, and implementation status to stakeholders.
  • Provide executive updates on release readiness and deployment outcomes.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations regarding release timelines and risks.
  • Facilitate release review and post-implementation meetings.
  
  
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Analyze release metrics and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Drive automation initiatives for release and deployment processes.
  • Improve release predictability, quality, and deployment efficiency.
  • Support DevOps and Continuous Delivery transformation initiatives.
