Leverage strong problem-solving skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment and drive customer-centric strategies across Japan.

As a Product Sales & Solutions (VP) in Kinexys, you will partner closely with sales and banker to originate, shape, and deliver tailored product solutions that meet the needs of banks, corporates, and other client segments in-market. You will define and configure complex solutions for key client relationships and prospect opportunities in partnership with Sales. You will act as the voice of the customer by deeply understanding Japan client needs and systematically translating feedback into clear inputs for Product teams and the strategic roadmap.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead sales enablement and commercialization for blockchain-based payment products in Japan, driving adoption across all client segments.
  • Own Japan go-to-market execution (prioritization, targeting, opportunity shaping) in partnership with Sales, with accountability for business outcomes against Japan targets.
  • Lead solution design for Japan opportunities by defining and configuring optimal client solutions, including operating model, integration approach, and implementation considerations.
  • Serve as a product and market SME for a defined set of products/capabilities, maintaining a current view of Japan payments trends, client needs, and competitor landscape.
  • Partner with Sales on pricing support, pipeline planning, and account planning, and upskill teams through trainings, playbooks, and Japan-localized collateral.
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders to run discovery, identify pain points, validate requirements, and refine proposed solutions; translate client feedback into structured product requirements and roadmap proposals.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Technology, Operations, Legal/Compliance/Risk, implementation teams) to ensure solutions are deliverable, scalable, and aligned to Japan market requirements.
  • Provide executive-level updates and influence decisions by synthesizing complex inputs into clear recommendations, risks, and trade-offs.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong understanding of the payments landscape (banking, cross-border payments, cash/transaction banking concepts) and enterprise client requirements, with demonstrated ability to apply this in Japan.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent expertise) in client solutioning, product commercialization, or consultative sales roles spanning multiple stakeholders and products.
  • Extensive experience supporting a sales cycle and engaging clients regularly (discovery through solution definition and implementation handoff).
  • Proven ability to adapt/configure solutions to address complex client problems (including workflow, controls, integration, and operating model).
  • Demonstrated success operating in a highly matrixed, complex organization, influencing without direct authority.
  • Fluent Japanese and business-proficient English (written and verbal).

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of blockchain, tokenization, and/or digital assets as applied to payments and transaction banking.
  • Experience localizing propositions and collateral for Japan, and navigating common Japan buyer/implementation dynamics across banks, NBFI, and corporates.
