The company was founded over 20 years ago and has quickly established itself as a market leader, becoming a publicly listed company shortly after its founding. The Japan office has around 70 employees and their office is centrally located in Tokyo. Description * Manage importing process by collaborating with overseas plants and 3PL partners, while ensuring compliance with local customs * Interface with 3PL partners (includes forwarding companies, warehousing companies, shipping companies) to arrange smooth transportation and evaluate performance to ensure quality service * Collaborate closely with HQ offices and local commercial stakeholders to create alignment on inventory needs and delivery lead times * Lead operational aspect of company-wide projects and initiatives * Maintain inventory reports and customer service logs in ERP system * Manage staff and establish KPIs for team members to monitor logistics performance * Provide coaching and training for the team members Profile * Minimum 5 years of logistics experience * Experience working in a manufacturing company (energy or machinery related industry would be preferable) * People management and 3PL management experience * Fluent Japanese skills required and business level English skills preferred * Must be a resident of Japan and/or must hold a valid working visa for Japan Job Offer * Global renewable energy company that is an industry leader * Opportunity to lead a team as head of department * Opportunity to report directly to company president * Opportunity to liaise with global offices * Competitive salary package and benefits * Hybrid remote work option available To apply online please click the 'Apply' button below.
